Say the words "juice cleanse" and some people run for cover.

Others embrace the juice cleanse. Anyway you slice it, a juice cleanse is really good for you, but not everyone can commit to 5 days of nothing but juice…

If you’ve never done a juice cleanse before, this is perfect for you and a great first step to cleansing.

You can reap the benefits from the juice cleanse while still eating solid foods. No need to starve here, cowboys. This is an easy cleanse for beginners or those looking for a way to clean house without the big, hungry commitment:

THE EASY-PEASY 3 DAY CLEANSE

For 3 days:

  • We would say skip the coffee, but we don’t want that monster and its wrath on our conscience, so it’s really up to you.
  • Start by having a large glass of water with ½ a lemon squeezed in as soon as you get up. This will start your detox juices flowing.
  • For breakfast have some fruit – a bowl of strawberries and blueberries, or a banana and another kind of fruit.
  • For lunch have a large mixed green juice with beets, carrots and ginger. Sip slowly!
  • For dinner have a large salad with a small amount of protein and a balsamic vinegar dressing. Go light on the dressing.
  • If you need a snack before bed, have a small yogurt or a banana.

*If you feel peckish during the day, grab a plain coconut water (feel free to have at least two during the day).

*Drink plenty of water throughout the day (with or without lemon) to help flush out the toxins.

*If you start to feel weak then eat a handful of raw almonds. This will balance out your blood sugar, but try to keep this noshing to a minimum.

Day 2 is usually the toughest. You’ll want to stab your co-workers for their cookies and salty chips, but hang in there! By day 3 you’ll have great energy and feel better than you have in a long time!
