Too many people skip breakfast everyday...

The National Weight Control Registry, which tracks the habits and strategies of more than 5,000 people who have maintained a significant weight loss reports that nearly 80 percent of the people who have lost weight and kept it off eat breakfast every single day, and they do so within an hour of waking up.

 

Breakfast literally means “breaking the fast”, and in order to kick start your metabolism for the day you need to put food into your body. If your body is running on empty it will slow your metabolism down thinking food is scarce – ie: conserving calories instead of burning them.

 

Not a morning food person? Grab a yogurt or a piece of fruit. This will get your metab running and keep the crankies at bay!
