Feeling tired? Annoyed? Frustrated? Just plain BLAH?

Hit that mid-day slump where you just want to crawl under your desk and take a nap? How about a walk instead?

 

ACTIVE MEDITATION

Active Meditation does wonders for a clear head and revitalized body. The fresh air (okay, semi-fresh in most cities), sunshine, and stretch your body will benefit from a meditative walk can completely change your mental state. We can all recognize that being trapped indoors in front of the droning computer can take a toll on our minds and senses.

Here’s what to do, sluggish comrade.Grab your ipod – or not — and head outside for a walk around the block. Take some deep breaths, in through your nose and out through your mouth, infusing your lungs with fresh oxygen. Look up and out. Stretch those eyes to the tops of the buildings. Clear your head of any work or life related stress and just be in present time. Check your shoulders, are they up by your ears? If so, release them down and back and just enjoy the scenery. By the time you get back to your office you will feel refreshed and your inner crank will be long gone.

Now walk it out now walk it out.
