Feel free to get out on the dance floor and get down with your bad self!

Dancing burns on average 300 calories an hour! That’s just the physical benefit. Going out with your friends and dancing until the wee hours is psychologically akin to taking a long weekend away. With the music pumping and your booty shaking, stress melts away and endorphins flood your system. Serotonin levels rise and cortisol (the stress hormone) levels drop. It’s a license to go out and have FUN with your friends – and these days we really aren’t getting enough of that.

SHAKE YOUR BOOTY!

Dancing doesn’t have to be limited to a night out with your buddies either. Have kids? Take some time and put on some music and let them shake their little booties with you. You’ll laugh until you fall over, and the kiddies will burn off that extra energy they were going to use to avoid bedtime later.

Cleaning the house? Turn up the volume on your iTunes and add some sass to your sweeping. Whatever your poison, turn it up and shake what your momma gave you. The extra calories you burn and the feel good hormones you’ll produce will keep you going all day with a HUGE smile on your face.
