Excuse me, are your elbows made of sandpaper?

You know who you are. How about your feet? Knees? Have you noticed that your face is looking a little less than fresh lately? You wake up and wonder, “Who the hell sucked a few years of youth from my face?”

As the weather gets colder and heating systems kick in, the dry air begins to rob your skin of moisture, leading to dry skin sitting in wrinkles and making your extremities seem like sanding products. The best way to avoid turning into an elephant is to exfoliate daily and follow with a good moisturizer. Boys, this means you too.

During the colder months our skin needs a heavier, richer moisturizer. Depending on your level of dryness, choose a moisturizer that is a bit thicker than what you used over the summer. Pay special attention to elbows, knees and feet – you might want to add an extra layer!

Now we all have our fave scrubs and hopefully you’re also using either a loofah or a scrubby glove in the shower. This will ensure you slough away those icky dead cells from your body and make way for the fresh youthful ones to glow!

After you get out of the shower, towel off. While your skin is still damp apply your moisturizer. This will lock in moisture while your skin is most receptive. You’ll be amazed at how soft and supple your skin will feel, and so will everyone else. Your skin will just scream “touch me” (that’s good, right?)…

Bye bye sandpaper – hello sexy and smooth.
