Quinoa (pronounced keen-wah), is quite possibly one of the most perfect foods on earth.

Although referred to as a grain, quinoa is actually a sassy little seed!

Quinoa is in it’s very truest sense a SUPERFOOD. Rice is nice, but it hasn’t got a thing on quinoa!

  • Quinoa contains all 9 essential amino acids making it a complete protein.
  •  Quinoa is high in protein, making it a smart choice for vegetarians and vegans whose diets are usually lacking in enough protein.
  •  Quinoa is a low glycemic food, making it perfect for those with blood sugar issues.
  • Quinoa is also a gluten-free food!

 

Quinoa’s nutty flavor and crunchy texture goes perfectly with everything! Try cooking it up with chicken or vegetable stock instead of water – the flavor will pop! Make extra and store in an air-tight container in the fridge – it will keep for a minimum of 5 days, if you don’t eat it all before then.

 

We love quinoa with chopped tomatoes, avocado, a splash of olive oil and a pinch of salt. Completely addictive!
